The jubilee 60th edition of the Barbórka Rally has gone down in history. 131 entered crews, 6 special stages and the "cherry on the cake", i.e. the Criterion of Aces on Karowa Street. Of course, there were also spectacular rides and long jumps on "hops". Kamena Rally Team took care of such rally emotions for fans of motorsports.
Friday's episode in Pruszków is the first kilometers of rally adrenaline. Just before the start of the crew supported by Autos, it started to snow. Therefore, the competitors started the competition in quite unfavorable conditions. Fortunately, their Polaris RZR PRO is perfectly prepared for difficult terrain, even the collision of the vehicle with a lamppost did not prevent the completion of this section.
“This is our second appearance at the Barbórka Rally. Last year, we put on tires intended for driving on asphalt, which did not fully allow us to show the capabilities of our car, among others, during the shooting of the so-called "barrels". That's why this year we drove on standard off-road tires, which we race in rallies in Europe and around the world. This time it was even faster and even louder,” says Tomasz Białkowski, Kamena Rally Team driver.
The second day of competition started on the track in Słomczyn. The crews had to overcome two special stages, which consisted of an asphalt and a gravel part. It was during this run that the duo Białkowski - Baśkiewicz presented a whole range of their rally abilities - from the longest jumps on "hops" to dynamic and effective cornering.
For many years, the magic of Karowa Street has been attracting the top Polish rally drivers. The legendary and at the same time prestigious section leads through the very center of Warsaw. The approximately two-kilometer ride is also the culmination and crowning of the entire rally. For the first time, the players from Słupca had the opportunity to find out about it. "Emotions and excitement - these words probably best describe our impressions after the start" - assures Dariusz Baśkiewicz, Kamena Rally Team pilot.
“ We would like to thank all the fans who visited our service area in such large numbers, as well as our partners. We were the only off-road vehicle in the competition, so we wanted to show the best possible show. We hope we have succeeded in doing so, ” adds Baśkiewicz.
The Barbórka Rally was a great opportunity to present a new vehicle prepared by the Polaris brand. Because 2023 will be a season for Kamen Rally Team focused on one thing, the realization of Everest, which is the Dakar Rally for each rally team.
