On Saturday afternoon, December 6th, Kościuszko Square in Nowy Staw transformed into a festive finish line, where athletic endeavors met the mighty power of engines. The annual Santa Claus Run and the accompanying Truck Convoy once again demonstrated how to combine fun and competition with a noble cause.
This year, nearly 600 people participated in the St. Nicholas Day competition – from three-year-olds running under the supervision of their parents to adults tackling the 5-kilometer distance. Participants set the tone: reindeer sleighs pulling Santa appeared at the starting line, and original costumes, led by the mischievous Grinch, took center stage.
Traditionally, the athletes were accompanied by festively decorated tractor-trailers, known as the Santa Claus Convoy. The impressive machines were a major attraction for residents and visitors, who eagerly posed for photos.
Behind the St. Nicholas Day bustle and joyful atmosphere were reliable business partners, including Autos. The company supported the event financially and helped organize it by preparing, among other things, a drawing competition, gadgets, sweets, and a photo wall.
The most important thing about the event, however, was the goal: the proceeds from the Santa Claus Convoy and Run were donated to support the children's ward of the District Health Center in Malbork.
