The Kujawsko-Pomorskie Association of Road Carriers named after Dionizy Woźny celebrated its 30th anniversary. During the ceremony, the President of Autos Marek Sałek was awarded the Golden Cross of Merit for Long-Term Service to the Development of Transport by the President of the Republic of Poland.
Among the invited guests, in addition to the Association members, were also representatives of the government administration, representatives of road carriers and partners cooperating with the organization.
This is the third, highest class of the Cross of Merit, which exists in three degrees: bronze, silver and gold. The cross has been awarded since 1923 and has been awarded many times since then for various merits, both civilian and military.
It was established by the President of the Second Polish Republic, Stanisław Wojciechowski, in 1923. The Cross of Merit is awarded for outstanding achievements in various fields of social, economic, scientific, cultural, and sports activities, as well as for charitable activities.
The Golden Cross of Merit is a cross with equal arms covered in gold, in the middle there is a medallion with the monogram "RP" (Rzeczpospolita Polska), and on the reverse there is the inscription "Za mistrzę". It is worn on a red ribbon with white stripes.
Among those awarded the Golden Cross of Merit are many famous Poles, including artists and scientists. One of them is Adam Mickiewicz, who received the distinction posthumously in the years of the Second Polish Republic for his contribution to the development of Polish literature.
Congratulations to the boss and the Association for such a successful Jubilee! It was not only a great celebration, but also great fun.
