There were successes, there were flames, there are ambitious plans for the future!

How much can happen in 3 months? In the case of our favorite rally team, a lot. Not only do they have a tight calendar of events, but they also do not spare us emotions. We could simultaneously rejoice together in winning, but also worry about a car breakdown.

“Fire” rally in Italy – fire protection systems tested

After a successful first day of the Italian Baja and a TOP10 finish, the second stage brought unexpected technical difficulties. The communication system and measuring devices failed, forcing the crew to use intuitive navigation. Despite the problems, they finished the stage in 5th place.

The next stage went without any major problems, despite the need to replace the drive belt. Unfortunately, the decisive third stage turned out to be unlucky – problems with the clutch made it impossible to continue driving. During a short stop, the turbine caught fire. Thanks to the crew's quick reaction and the help of passing drivers, the fire was extinguished, but the rally car could not continue the competition. Although the vehicle was saved, the Kamena Rally Team had to end its participation in the rally ahead of time.

Hungarian Baja, or a return to the winning track

The Kamena Rally Team won the rally in Hungary! The Hungarian Baja 2024 turned out to be a triumphant return to victories for them. After the dramatic events in Italy, where their dreams of finishing the rally literally burned down, the team not only rebuilt their vehicle, but also found new motivation. - This was our stage, the fastest this season. We beat several T1+ vehicles, ending the day in first place in our group and fourth in the general classification - recalls co-driver Dariusz Baśkiewicz.

Winning the T4 group in Hungary was proof that despite previous difficulties they were able to regain their form and return to the fight for the highest places in the European Cup. This victory gave them not only valuable points, but also confirmed that after difficult moments in the Italian Baja, they were able to return stronger and determined to achieve further successes.

From Italian soil (via Hungarian) to Poland – victory in Baja Poland!

The Polish off-road rally festival traditionally took place in Szczecin on August 23-25. The annual route was 662.25 km long, of which 355.6 km were special stages. Saturday was crucial, as two runs of 152.8 km each took place at the Drawsko Military Training Ground. The team completed the first stage without any problems as the leader in the SSV group, but damaged two rear wishbones during the second run. Despite the failure, they managed to maintain their advantage and continue the fight after the service. On Sunday, Białkowski maintained almost

6-minute advantage and finished the rally in 1st place in the SSV group and 10th in the overall classification of the FIA World Cup. As driver Tomasz Białkowski emphasizes: "Our workshop team did a great job. Within 40 minutes they replaced two rear wishbones and prepared the vehicle for the next day of competition. Great respect for the guys, because until the very end we were not sure whether we would manage to repair the vehicle. We are proud to have such a team!"

After winning in Portugal, they returned to the leading position in the European Cup.

Kamena Rally Team, having taken first place in its category at the 2024 Baja TT Sharish Gin, has once again taken the lead in the European Cup standings. Now, they are facing the final round of the FIA European Baja Cup – Baja Troia, which will take place in Turkey from 7 to 10 October.

Baja 1000, which will take place on November 12, 2024 in Mexico, is one of the most prestigious off-road races. Tomek and Darek are going to start in it with their Can-Am. The challenge is significant, because the route is over 1,600 km long and they have only 36 hours to complete it. We learned everything at a special press conference held in Poznań, in the courtyard of Młyńska 12.

The team will compete in the Pro UTV Turbo class, using the SCORE-spec Can-Am X3. “Taking part in the Baja 1000 is a dream come true. It’s an incredibly difficult challenge, but we’re ready to give it our all!” says Tomasz Białkowski.

A novelty in this rally is the possibility of familiarizing yourself with the route in advance during a four-day pre-run. "This is crucial for preparing for the challenge," adds Dariusz Baśkiewicz. The Kamena Rally Team is eagerly awaiting this great adventure.

We keep our fingers crossed for the boys and we are just as excited as they are. After all, Autos has been riding with them for a few years now, so you will see a report from this rally on our social media.
