Basics of servicing diesel and gasoline engines for beginner mechanics

The training is intended for new car service employees who will deal with cars with diesel and gasoline engines . During the training, participants will be provided with basic knowledge about engine servicing. The training will consist of a 50% practical part during which the participant will have the opportunity to perform basic service activities related to the D engine. Great emphasis will be placed on working according to assembly procedures included in the ESI tronic program (special tools, tightening torques, etc.) in order to educate proper habits necessary to do the job well.

Common rail system:

• Description of the low pressure system, characteristic parameters.
• Installation and coding of injectors using KTS.
• Installation of a high pressure pump.
• Checking faults with KTS.

Diesel engine overall:

• Low fuel pressure circuit: structure and principle of operation of the system with variable, electronically regulated flow; integrator, adaptations, basic settings.
• High fuel pressure circuit: structure and principle of operation of the system; construction, principle of operation of high-pressure pumps - variants, high pressure regulation, typical faults, emergency modes, system behavior.
• High pressure injectors – control concept, diagnostics, assembly/disassembly.
• Intake system: air guides - structure, purpose of use, control concept, emergency mode.
• Engine operating modes - types of mixtures, methods of their implementation, system behavior, emergency modes, diagnostics.
• Exhaust system - exhaust gas treatment: structure of the exhaust system, variants.
