How to choose tires for professional tasks

Tires dedicated to professional use should be characterized by the highest quality of workmanship - without any concessions and compromises in the field of their construction and the compound used.

It is up to them to be able to execute a given order in a safe and timely manner, as well as to reduce the costs of doing business. We know about it at the Autos network. Here you will find selected tires for trucks and all construction machines, in many variants that differ in brand, purpose, season and other additional technical features. They all come from well-known manufacturers from around the world and are characterized by the highest durability at a favorable purchase price.

IMPACT OF TIRES ON COMFORT AND SAFETY

Safety on the road and on construction sites is a primary issue that should always be treated as a priority. Economical tires of the lowest quality, coming from unofficial distribution, are usually characterized by low durability and many dangers associated with their construction. Most tires of this class do not meet any of the parameters listed on the product card, also on the label, as a result of which their use may cause the tire to burst or delamination, mainly due to too low load capacity. A poorly composed mixture can cause characteristic "bumps" on the tire, and an unstable structure will not provide adequate support when transporting the heaviest building materials. For this reason, only tires that are worth buying in any case are available in our store. We focused on the following brands: Continental, Barum, Goodyear, Dunlop, Sava, Pirelli, Formula, Michelin, Orium and Hankook. And most importantly - we offer all of them at competitive prices.

CHOOSING A TIRE FOR THE TYPE OF WORK

When choosing tires, it is worth paying attention to the type of work performed with them. Small trucks for the transport of light loads have different requirements for tires, and different for large sets covering several thousand kilometers on European roads in one route. For transport on international routes, premium tires are perfect, which are much less susceptible to wear, and the quality of the compound used in their production will perfectly protect against unwanted slippage. What's more, the compound is usually much more durable in good tires, which is why it guarantees a reduction in the costs of running a transport company. Typically, all-season tires are used on such routes, but in the case of routes to Scandinavian countries, we encourage you to purchase tires dedicated to the winter season. On regional routes, you can opt for tires of a slightly lower class, as they will not be exposed to such intensive and continuous use on roads throughout Europe.

In construction transport, the situation is completely different. In the case of vehicles not approved for road traffic, which carry out transport only within the construction site, the best possible adhesion to the ground is emphasised. Typically, tires of this type have prominent and large tread blocks and you cannot develop too high speeds on them.

In specialist transport, the focus is on the best matching of tires to the type of transported cargo. The heaviest and massive loads carried out using oversized transport or cranes are transported on tires with the highest possible load index. This is due to the very compact, massive construction of the tire and reinforced shoulders and front of each of them. Usually, tires of this type are designed for low speeds, mainly due to the very high rolling resistance and high temperature.

ALL THE DETAILS MATTER

When choosing tires for professional tasks, pay special attention to their size. Individual models differ, among others, in width, inner (rim) diameter and profile in the form of a percentage of the width. In some variants, manufacturers also inform about the outer diameter. It is worth knowing that the markings of tires for trucks and construction vehicles have a slightly different formula than tires dedicated to passenger cars, so if you have any doubts, please contact our employees. They will help you choose the right tire for a specific vehicle. Tires, regardless of our preferences regarding the company or the type of rubber compound used, should meet all the requirements of the manufacturer of a given vehicle in relation to this operating part. Typically, information about the approved sizes can be found on data plates, e.g. in the door recess, and in the manual.

Using the wrong size tires has several unpleasant consequences:

1. incorrect speedometer indications due to too large or too small outer diameter,

2. problems in the operation of traction or braking control systems,

3. higher fuel consumption, in the case of tires that are too wide, which generate too much resistance, as well as too little grip in the case of tires that are too narrow.

TIRES FOR TRUCKS AND CONSTRUCTION MACHINES - DESIGN AND INTENDED USE

Individual truck tires also differ in construction. There are also differences in their mounting location. Tires on the drive axle should have an aggressive and prominent tread that transfers the torque well to the ground. Tires on the leading axle should meet the highest quality standards. Tires for the trailer axle should have a higher load capacity.
