It is quite common that as long as the air conditioning works properly and we feel comfortable while driving, we do not see the need to be interested in its quality. Everything changes when the system stops cooling and the journey is no longer comfortable.
To prevent such a situation, an interesting solution is to use a sight glass that will allow you to determine the quality of the refrigerant in the system. The device is simple and quick to use, and thanks to the transparent cylinder, it is quite possible to determine not only the quality and contamination of the factor, but also possible faults in the system. It should be remembered that the cleanliness of the air conditioning system has a huge impact on its service life. The operation is very simple, we put the device's quick couplers on the service connectors, and then we start the engine and air conditioning of the vehicle. In a few minutes we will see (if it is in the system) the refrigerant in the sight glass cylinder. The next step is to use the image from the sight glass and combine it with the mechanic's knowledge and take the necessary repair steps. After performing such a test, the mechanic will be able to determine the quality of the refrigerant , as well as the life and working conditions of the heart of the compressor system. After inspection with the sight glass, we can increase the efficiency of the system and even prevent the compressor from seizing up.

THE CORRECT APPEARANCE OF THE REFRIGERANT

DARK AGENTS COLOR
Black color - this is due to compressor overheating, probably too little oil in the system, high risk of compressor seizure. Fragments of rubber or metal shavings - in the first case, it means crushing of seals and flexible hoses of the system. This is mainly due to the aging of the rubber elements. The second case is related to the lack of or adequate lubrication of the compressor - very high probability of compressor seizing.
JELLY CONSISTENCY
Mark too short a vacuum time, as well as the use of wrong UV contrast or the use of wrong sealants.
NON-HOMOGENEOUS MIXTURE
The effect of mixing different types of oils (different viscosities) reduces the lubrication quality of the compressor and sometimes too much oil in the system reduces the cooling capacity of the system. Sometimes it is also caused by poorly performed flushing of the system or poorly performed vacuum after the flushing process. Sometimes the beginning of a leak in the system.
INTENSE GREEN OR RED-ORANGE COLOR
In both cases, this is most often due to the application of too much leak detection agent. The effect is a decrease in lubrication of the system and an increase in the load on the compressor, a decrease in the efficiency of the air conditioning system and a significant reduction in the life of the compressor.
