The expansion valve, together with the compressor, condenser, dryer and evaporator, is one of the most important components of an air conditioning system. Despite its small size, it plays a key role in ensuring the proper operating parameters of the system. The most common cause of expansion valve needle blockage are impurities left and circulating inside the air conditioning system - for this reason, preventively, in addition to flushing the air conditioning system, in the event of compressor seizing, it is recommended to replace the expansion valve with a new one.
