Haldex

Haldex renumbers ModulT brake pad sets. From March 2021, Haldex is adapting its existing range of ModulT brake pads to better suit the demands of the aftermarket. Haldex gives customers what they really need – a competitive price without having to pay for parts they don't need.

This applies in particular to the frequently used brake pad set 95396 for the 22.5” SAF axle. Due to the introduction of the second generation of the ModulT disc brake , which is fitted to SAF axles, this step is essential and serves to minimize errors during brake pad maintenance and replacement. " We are aligning our offering for IAM (Independent Aftermarket) with our OES setup to make it easier for each customer to choose what's best for them," explains Senior Commercial Product Manager Patrik Käll. With these changes, Haldex is providing greater transparency in in terms of spare parts - both for wholesalers, workshops and fleet managers In addition, Haldex is introducing a set of brake pads for use on the Kögel KTA axle, which is now available from our distribution center in Weyersheim.

New set of brake pads for the ModulT GenI and ModulT GenII versions

The new set, available in Poland from September, includes four brake pads and a special set of accessories with springs, spring supports and end caps. However, it does not include brake pad holders that are specific to GenI or GenII ModulT brakes. The original disc brake pad kit included fasteners, but only for the ModulT GenI version. This allows the new kit to fit all caliper variants, so workshops only need one kit to replace the pads on most Haldex ModulT disc brakes in their fleet (in fact, Haldex brakes are also sold under several other axle brands). The new offering also provides distributors and large workshops with easier inventory management and greater efficiency. It also reduces the possibility of installing the wrong pad retainer on the brake.

The new kits are sold alongside the existing range of Haldex premium brake pad kits available from OEMs and the independent aftermarket. They contain not only bricks, but also a full set of accessories. Of course, new disc brake pad sets are available at a lower price than premium sets. Haldex recommends replacing all brake pads on the axle at the same time. All kits come with a set of four pads necessary for a complete axle replacement. When using new kits, the company suggests reusing the existing brake pad retainer wherever possible. If replacement is required, brake pad fasteners specific to each brake model are also sold separately. To order them, customers need to specify the number of the terminal in question. Haldex also helps reduce the hassle of ordering replacement parts as you only need to know the part number for one kit now. To make the maintenance of brake products even easier, the company plans to introduce a range of replacement brake pads for all brands.
