WESEM - LED lighting for low-speed vehicles and construction machines - how to ensure safety and comfort at work.

The growing popularity of LED lamps has also reached the sector of construction machinery and industrial vehicles. Many users decide to replace halogen lamps with LED lamps or look for the possibility of lighting the area within the vehicle in order to increase safety and comfort of work. The group of lighting products that are most often used in the construction sector are work lamps.

Due to the difficult conditions in which construction machines must work, when choosing lighting, care should be taken and attention should be paid to the features of the products that guarantee their reliability.

Lamps made in LED technology have a definite advantage in this respect. Unlike a traditional light bulb, the light source is not a filament heated to a high temperature, but a semiconductor element. In light-emitting diodes (LED - Light Emitting Diode) there is a direct conversion of electrical energy into light, which can take on different colors.

Characteristic values for well-constructed and manufactured products in LED technology are a very long maximum working time and high energy efficiency. In WESEM products, for an exemplary lamp operating in unfavorable conditions, the maximum working time of at least 30,000 hours of continuous operation was obtained. This translates into 3 years of continuous lighting!

Each LED has a limit operating temperature, beyond which its lifetime decreases significantly. Although the emitted light is felt as cold (no infrared radiation), the very process of its emission heats the diodes. Properly designed cooling is therefore of great importance here. The lamps use cooling systems usually made of aluminum.

Regarding energy efficiency, while maintaining similar parameters of the light beam, the LED lamp consumes several times less energy than the incandescent lamp. For example, the WESEM company introduces to its offer the main headlamp for universal use - EGV1, in which the dipped beam has 11W (traditional solutions based on the H4 bulb needed 55W).

The H3 12V halogen bulb, which is very popular in work lamps, has 1450 lm, but provides work comfort similar to the 800 lm LED lamp. When we take the most popular LED1 1500lm lamp or the CRK2B 1600lm lamp, which is currently winning the market, the difference in favor of the new technology is already very large.

It is also worth noting that in LED lamps, lower lighting values expressed in lumens give much greater comfort of work than halogen lamps. Due to the fact that light bulbs emit light into the entire space, it is impossible to effectively use their entire luminous flux. LEDs emit light in half-space, and thanks to this, it is possible to construct an optical system that effectively uses a much larger part of the luminous flux of the light source.

The user, depending on the needs, can choose between a wide and focused beam of light. In the construction sector, lamps with a wide beam of light will be more applicable, due to the working area in which the machine operates.

In addition to the number of lumens, the distribution of light has a large impact on the comfort of work. The work area should be evenly lit without "black spots". Thanks to this, the user's eye does not have to constantly adjust to different lighting conditions and does not get tired. Using diodes, the color of light is more similar to natural light, and therefore more friendly to the human eye.

In the group of work lamps from WESEM, you can choose from products in various sizes, shapes and luminous flux.

Maintaining the standards of quality and durability of products requires a specific approach at every stage of preparation and production. The company designs and manufactures products on its own, and the fact that all production takes place in Poland allows for full control of this process, and thus ensuring high quality and responding to the needs of customers.

At each stage of production, the products are tested and analyzed in our own laboratory. Aging and strength tests are carried out, e.g. tightness, lamp resistance to vibration, corrosion, UV radiation, low and high temperatures.

All this guarantees a durable and solid product, which is characterized by full hermeticity and the ability to work in difficult conditions as well as resistance to mechanical damage.

By purchasing WESEM products, the user can be sure that the lamp will serve him for many years. What characterizes them is:

  • high vibration resistance: 15.3G, 24-2000Hz - for example, lamps are successfully used on vibrating rollers,
  • high tightness class: IP67, IP69K - products are dustproof, withstand short-term immersion and washing with a pressure washer,
  • high corrosion resistance: ISO 9229, min 500h,
  • high class of electromagnetic compatibility: minimum EMC CISP25 class 3, and for many lamps the highest class 5 - no problems with radio jamming,
  • quality of light - homogeneous lighting in the working field, and thus comfort of work, no eye strain,
  • well-designed cooling system - even in a warm environment, the lamp power is not limited by the overheating protection system and the user gets full parameters for which he paid,
  • a wide range of lamp versions (mounts, connectors), easy to adapt the lamp to the user's needs,
  • a certain guarantee - a Polish manufacturer.

The lamps are manufactured in Poland, and each production phase is controlled in accordance with the ISO 9001:2015 quality system in force in the company. The list of branches with professional lighting can be found at: https://autos.com.pl/pl/maszyny
